There's getting to be a lot of posts on this one page. I've thought about it and I think there are two solutions. 1: I can split up posts by each month and use the top page as an index or 2: I can add infinite scrolling. I do like CGI and dynamic content, but I also don't like infinite scrolling and the social media feel it gives off. It's not so much of a problem right now, but it will get worse. Also, keeping everything in one document is kind of weird klunky.
Update: I just made a quick CGI script to get an index of a post directory. I think it would work okay, but I now realize I could just generate the whole page using CGI. That would fix the big document problem for me, but it would still be a large file for clients to download potentially. I'm leaning toward using the index script to list the folders for each month's posts and maybe only having the most recent posts on the top page.

Can't sleep. Also, if you can avoid it, never use SiteLock or Imperva. I spent all day trying to fix what they broke then getting gaslit by them that the problem is actually our host--I know what I'm doing! I know how to use curl, openssl, etc.! I'm really frustrated that things can never just be okay on their own. Even when I've removed myself and any other problem causer from the environment things still go bad. Maybe that's life and perhaps I should get used to it. It seems to happen so often that sometimes I think that some things just aren't meant to be or stay as they are. I guess what I'm trying to say here is: "if your SSL certificate isn't clearing for your hostname, don't blame yourself: blame your CDN!"

I'm adding bees because I feel like it. I made the a while ago and they still need some optimization, but they are good enough to put here. They use PID controls by the way.
The funeral was on Friday. It was a good service and it seemed very cathardic for my mother and her family. She meant a lot to so many people; I feel kind cheated that I only got to know her in the last years of her life.

The vanity url is back up as of a few days ago and I can't sleep, that means it's web time!
At the time of writing it is 1:21 AM and I cannot sleep. Yesterday--Sunday--was good. We went to church in the morning which was good, and in the evening everyone came over for a little barbeque. I had some time to work on some mirroring and backup tools today which I believe are working as they should. I used them to make a static render for my Neocities page (hebrxj.neocities.org) which I would like to start updating more often as I have more friends that look at that than my other webspacces.
Abuela's funeral is on Friday, but we are driving down on Wednesday and Thursday. I've been asked to pray over the grave, so I'll have to think about what I will pray about; I plan to write it out ahead of time and read it at the site. It will be given in Spanish so the rest of the family can understand--that was also her primary language. The rest of the family seems to know her so well. I wish I knew her better but we never visited very often, and as long as I have known her she has had some type of dementia which made it harder to connect with her. She always pretended to not know any English, but I'm pretty sure she knew a fair amount. My Spanish vocabulary was very limited until only a few years ago, so I couldn't effectively communicate with her.
It's strange now that I think of it; her children--my mother and aunt--speak english perfectly. I remember my mother telling me growing up how she had to translate for her mother when she was young. I know that it is completely possible to live without English in the states--I've met and lived among people who do so--but it fascinates me how learning English can be avoided in some communities. To clarify, I don't think English is particularly special or should be required for anything, I just think it's interesting how it can be completely unnecessary if you are in the right spheres, especially since it seems so common.
It's getting even later now and I'm almost tired, so I'll end this here. There are other things I want to write, but I'll save it for another day.

The vanity url loaded for a few hours today. I'm not sure what's going on with it, but I'm pretty sure it's not just me. I can't access any of the user subdomains, so I'll assume that's a sign that I didn't break anything and it is probably a vhost error. I could focus on my gopherspace but no one I know in real life uses gopher, so I'll just keep updating my webspace.
I'm thinking about putting in some cgi, but I'd need to get arpa membership to recompile the things I want. I'm not opposed to donating--in fact I'm sure I will eventually get an arpa membershipping--but right now I'm torn between playing Deltarune or playing with internet computer thingies (adults budget for their toys!). If I'm going to pay for it soon I better do it before the semester starts--I try my best to avoid unecessary spending during the school year, as I will be working only part time.
It's already past midnight and it's now 7-14-2026, so I'll wrap this up. The past few days have been okay. Mom and Dad have been in Boston for their anniversary and the Moxie festival. It seems like they've had a good time. They'll be getting home tomorrow. Goodnight!

Hello and good evening, Internet and SDF! I haven't posted in a few days, but that's okay. I don't remote in super often, but when I do I'll try to write something on the WWW or gopherspace. Anyway, today was pretty good: I went to work, made some DMARC repairs and sorted out some GTM issues; it can be hard to fix things that were set up correctly years ago but now need to be updated. It's not exactly hard work, but there is a mind-numbing element to it.
I've been doing a lot of computer work recently--setting up live backups, backend, frontend, etc.--but I don't mind. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to spend so much time behind a compute, but I think almost every job nowadays has a computer element. I am very blessed and fortunate to work where I do and do the things I do, so I shouldn't complain.
Something else happened this week--my abuela passed away. I don't really want to talk / type about it right now, but she passed away Monday morning, 2026-7-6. I woke up early around the time it happend I think.
Thanks for reading. Goodnight!

The website start showing up after a few (~12) hours, so if you are waiting for your webpage to show up be patient.
I'm not sure yet of what I want to do with the my SDF webpage. I'm quite familiar with webhosting and I know we are allowed CGI scripts, so maybe I will host some programs or tools to make them accessible on the public web. I'll be thinking about it for sure, but for now I'll stick to blogging.

Hello Internet and SDF! This is the beginning of my webpage hosted by sdf.org!
I can't yet access the subdomain or tilde directory, but I assume the vhost configuration of whatever http server SDF is running takes some time to update. I guess we'll see...
